Skinwalker Ranch
Skinwalker Ranch is a 480-acre hotspot of unexplained activity near Ballard, Utah. Named after a shapeshifting witch from Navajo legend, the property has been tied to UFO sightings, cattle mutilations, magnetic anomalies, and glowing orbs. In the ’90s, the Sherman family reported bizarre creatures and aircraft, prompting its sale to the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDS). Researchers documented drained batteries, malfunctioning cameras, and alleged portals. While no solid conclusions ever surfaced, the legend only grew. Today, it serves as a main source of programming for the History Channel’s endless stream of low-budget paranormal science reality shows, none of which solve anything.
